We polished this school's brand identity so it captured their spirit.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Established in 1950, Riviera's campus in Coral Gables is the city's oldest independent school. With such a rich history, they needed a new logo and look that kept them grounded but reflected the energy within the school. Their old logo felt dated and clunky, so we revamped the design and upgraded the identity system.
REDESIGNING A LOGO
Their old logo had too many elements trying to represent the school, so we paired it down to a single element within a crest. The Banyan tree flourishes in the Florida climate. The visual of deep roots and widespread branches tied symbolically to the vision of Riviera Schools.
CRAFTING A SYSTEM
With upgraded typography, we kept the navy blue the school had been using, but introduce a soft pink, blue, and gray to balance it out. It gave the school a blend of stability and energy that felt reflective of the school's spirit. We also created patterns and other graphic elements that came together for a full cohesive identity system.
