Brand Identity Design
We designed a compelling identity for a future-focused organization.
The Limb Regeneration Alliance (LRA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding and promoting groundbreaking research in limb regeneration. They aim to help accelerate the development of life-changing science. Their work involves raising awareness, securing funding for research, and fostering collaboration among scientists, medical professionals, and the amputee community. And they needed a logo and brand identity to help amplify their efforts.
Mood Board Design
We began with setting the proper landscape. After a discovery session and some research, we assembled a mood board that showed an aesthetic direction we could take the brand in. We put it before the LRA team and they gave an emphatic approval on the direction. That moved us into the concept development stage.
Concept Designs
We created three concepts, each speaking to LRA’s brand mission but offering different visual solutions. The icon of Concept 1 immediately became a front-runner, with the ‘helping hand’ being a compelling representation of the brand. The block letters of Concept 2 were also well-received, since the abbreviation is an often-used shorthand for the organization.
The final design was a blend of those concepts, keeping the typography of Concept 2 and pairing it with the icon and colors of Concept 1. Once the final logo was approved, we created a robust visual system to support it, with guidelines and assets to ensure the brand can grow effectively for years to come.
